Growers – Help Us Feed Communities, Not Landfills

New Zealand’s growers put care and hard work into producing quality fruit and vegetables. But sometimes, produce doesn’t make it to market—whether it’s too big, too small, cosmetically imperfect, or simply surplus.

At KiwiHarvest, we collect donated, good-to-eat fresh produce and deliver it directly to local foodbanks and community groups that support whānau in need. It’s one simple way to make sure your hard work doesn’t go to waste.

What Can You Donate?

We accept fresh produce that’s:

  • Oversized or undersized

  • Cosmetic “imperfects”

  • Surplus or off-spec

  • Not suitable for retail or export—but still safe to eat

Please note: While we don’t currently harvest or glean from fields, we can collect produce that’s already picked or packed.

Why Donate?

  • Reduce food waste and support sustainable food systems

  • Lower your disposal or dumping costs

  • Make a positive impact with produce that feeds your local community

  • Protect your soil health – avoid nutrient imbalance caused by returning excess crops to the same land

  • Be recognised as a grower committed to giving back

Let’s Work Together

Whether you’re a grower, packhouse, or exporter, we’d love to talk about how we can help redistribute your surplus.
