Food Drive – Get Your Team or School Involved

Looking for a meaningful way to make a difference?

Hosting a Food Drive is a simple, powerful way for businesses, schools, and community groups to support KiwiHarvest’s mission and help put food on the tables of families doing it tough. Whether it’s one can from home or a trolley full of purpose-bought goods, every item counts.

How It Works

Organise a collection of non-perishable food items at your workplace, school, or event. Once your drive is complete, we’ll work with you to arrange drop-off or collection (depending on volume and location) and distribute your donations to local foodbanks and community groups.

Please note: We can only accept ambient/non-perishable food items for Food Drives. No chilled or frozen goods, please.

Great for:

  • Corporate volunteering or team-building activities

  • Schools and student-led community initiatives

  • Community groups, clubs, or seasonal drives (e.g. Christmas, Matariki, Back to School)

What to Donate

  • Canned food (soups, vegetables, fruit, tuna, beans

  • Pasta, rice, noodles

  • Cereals, muesli bars

  • Spreads, sauces, long-life milk

  • Baby food, pet food, hygiene items

All items must be:

  • In original, sealed packaging

  • Within expiry or best-before date

  • Free from dents, damage, or opened packaging
