With a Little Help from Our Friends

At KiwiHarvest, we know we can’t do this work alone. Every week, we rescue and redistribute food that would otherwise go to waste, but behind the scenes, there’s a whole village of generous people and companies who make this possible.

Part of what makes these partnerships special is how they come about. Sometimes it’s a volunteer who rolls up their sleeves with us, gets inspired, and brings their workplace on board. Other times, it’s a chance meeting at an event or an email from someone who’s heard about the impact we’re making. However it starts, the result is the same: genuine relationships that grow into something powerful.

Here are just some of the incredible friends who walk alongside us:

Rabobank has been by our side since 2020. We work with them on a national Food Waste Survey (the latest was released in Sept ‘25), this is vital research that shows just how big the problem is, and how we can all play a part in solving it.

Our Chef Collective - Peter Gordon, Michael Meredith, Brent Martin, Kylee Newton, and Alfie Ingham are not only culinary superstars, they’re also true champions of our cause. Whether they’re creating a four-course feast for our Goodness Gala or serving soup from the KiwiHarvest Caravan at our “13 million Thanks” event, they bring heart (and a lot of flavour!) to everything they do.

Slalom keeps us humming by helping us run Salesforce, the brain of our operation. From tracking every kilogram of food in and out, to managing donor relationships and food safety audits, their expertise is gold.

Oxygen Consulting has given us big-picture thinking and helped us plan for the long-term future of food rescue in Aotearoa.

BioPak has been with us for three years, making sure our recipient charities have eco-friendly packaging so families can take meals home with dignity.  They also provided some great packaging for the Cooking for a Cause sessions we run with Everybody Eats at Christmas.

AMP helped us share our story in the media, writing and publishing articles that beautifully captured who we are and why we do what we do. As well as attending our Cooking for a Cause last Christmas.

Federation is our creative partner-in-crime. They bring our appeals and campaigns to life, often pro bono, and always with care and creativity.

JCDecaux recently joined the whānau, lending us their creative flair and nationwide billboard network to spread the word about food waste.

HelloFresh go above and beyond being food donors. They’ve run campaigns, brought in their PR team, and even helped us partner with Portia Woodman-Wickliffe, who adds her voice to raising awareness about food waste and hunger.

Chep NZ provide the sturdy shuttle bins that are essential for collecting and transporting food safely from our large donors to where it’s needed most.

Auckland University (ThinkPod team) have sharpened how we measure our social impact—helping us tell the story of what every dollar and donation truly achieves.

Otago University final-year marketing students have completed a study into PR in the food rescue sector and are currently working on a donor audit and strategy for us—fresh ideas from the next generation.

Ulti installed an automatic rapid door in our warehouse, making it more secure and easier to control the temperature—helping us protect the quality of the food we rescue.

Park Hyatt Auckland have provided the stunning venue for our Goodness Gala in 2023 and again in 2025. Beyond the beautiful setting, their team are professional, friendly, and a joy to work with, helping us bring this special event to life.

Auckland Unlimited – Invited us to partner with them and the Park Hyatt to deliver an amazing Long Lunch as part of the Moana Festival, an event that beautifully showcased community and connection.

Honor Impact took a deep dive into our volunteering programme and confirmed what we already knew: volunteering with KiwiHarvest doesn’t just fight food waste, it builds empathy, well-being, and stronger communities.

JAC NZ gifted us the use of an electric truck for a whole year, an amazing in-kind donation that helps us keep our carbon emissions down while rescuing and delivering food all across Auckland.

Pallet Racking Solutions, thanks to their generous support, our Highbrook warehouse is now fitted with racking systems that free up floor space for volunteer food sorting and boost our storage capacity and efficiency.

Richie McCaw, Nick Farr-Jones and David Kirk offered their personal time and shared experiences over lunch with the winners of our live auction of a ‘Lunch with Legends’ from our Goodness Gala.

Bridgestone keeps our fleet road-ready with quality tyres, helping us travel hundreds of thousands of kilometres across New Zealand to deliver good food where it’s needed most.

Vwork is our behind-the-scenes hero. They’ve made routing simpler and data entry a breeze for our drivers, helping everything run smoother and more efficiently every day.

bp keeps our fleet fueled and ready to roll, with fuel and charging stations that make sure we’re always prepared to respond quickly when it counts most.

These aren’t just transactions, they’re relationships. Each one of these partners has chosen to put their time, talent, and heart behind our mission. And together, they’re helping us make good happen, feeding people, reducing waste, and protecting our planet. We’re so grateful for every single one of them. 💚
